They have made some nice improvements on the web site that I hope land on the app. Though they jacked the web site up in a lot of ways too.
I like the new grouping for TV shows. I hope that ports. The iPhone app still breaks the seasons apart. Really annoying!
I hate how the current website just dumps you into the movie or show without any option for details or trailer or anything first. So you have to hover, wait, mouse over the pop-up, click the name, yadda yadda yadda.
That is SOOOOO annoying! If I had a dollar for every time their site stuttered doing that and then stated to launch the movie, I'd have a free year. I liked the old version of the site better. This hover over thing stinks, and half the time it doesn't work or shows black tiles.
Playback is fine but the rest of the app is horrible. I'd love to see improvements but NF seems totally clueless what users actually want.
1) Display of which content expires soon
2) Ability to add to disc queue from the mobile version
3) "Not interested" option
4) NOT recommending content that I either marked as not interested, or is already in my queue.
5) Showing the name of the content (including TV episode number/title) in the top navigation controls
Amen.
1. Your Queue shows you (sorry if you realize this already) if you click on it, and view it as a list. It's a pain though. Would be nice if they would put a tag below the movie icon that says "expiring soon" or "expires in 3 days." The Queue will save the items that expire though, and a month before they return it will show you. It also puts them back in your list, but sometimes you don't realize if you have a large queue.
2. I don't know why they took that out!
3. See #4, if they ignore that you're not interested, it alost doesn't matter.
4. Especially when it's already in your queue or it's something you've watched and rated before.

You know, I've been a good Netflix subscriber for years, and stuck with them through the hard times, went to streaming only when they pushed that. Now I am disappointed in them; very disappointed for pushing out an app to a tiny minority of failed tablets and putting off the market leader and their tablet usage leader by far. Seems like yet another bad business decision.
LOL. Yeah, but since people actually use IOS tablets, they need to make sure it's perfect. There's no one but crickets to bitch if the Android version sucks on a tablet.
