I had this happen for the first, and so far only time, last week. I just unplugged it as I couldn't wait. Worked just fine later that night.
Yeah, I found unplugging it and starting over helped. iTunes on windows is the most bloated crap-fest I've ever used, that's for sure.
I was so happy for google music and cloud synicing. I never have to use iTunes again!
