What do you do for a living? G37S? quite a monthly expensive on top of a mortgage/rent, home insurance, food, clothing, gas, electric bill, cellphone, and other expenses.

I might change my line of work. Or maybe move back in with my parents.

But I test drove the 2012 BMW 335iS today and was amazed. This will probably be my next car coming early 2012. About 10 grand more than the G pricing in at about $54,000 when loaded with what I want, but the car is truly luxurious with a sports car feel right under the M3.

I've also driven my dad's new Mercedes SL550. Amazing car; sexy and luxurious, but it's slow for the $100,000+ price tag (obviously not a slow car, but not sports car fast by any means) and I feel like an old man when I drive the car.

As I said, first car. I paid the down payment with money I earned over the summer working at my dad's firm and he covers the monthy payments along with his SL, my moms gl450 and all those other expenses mentioned. But he has a business management firm here in Los Angeles. Managing money and accounting for actors, other industry people, etc.

I'm a full time student at Johns Hopkins University currently, so I work over summers, but I my parents aren't going to support me with luxuries after college and business school, so I fully plan on having a successful career of my own. (and yes you all don't have to tell me that it's gonna be hard and I need to step into the real world... I know it's gonna be tough).

Pontiac 6000 LE, even though it needed a recall due to bad steering linkage.

It seemed like the linkage was made of soft aluminum, so every time I turned it felt like a bit of metal was scraping off somewhere. Very truly weird feel.

Once fixed it was a joy to drive. Alas, it just got too old to keep going. Mid-to-late-1980's car bought slightly used in the late 80's.

The 1993 325is (E36) is a close second though
I had a 69 Duetto and lusted after the Alfetta coupe. Alfa lost money on every sale then as the cars had all those features.

My '05 BMW X5 3.0 is the best car I ever owned. A great highway cruiser that is comfortable for tall people and has a ton of cool features. Totally reliable so far (80K+). Very crisp handling and brakes, a driver's car for sure like they advertise. I put in a Garmin, an old iPhone for audio, new speakers and a sub and that takes care of its weaknesses.

If I win the lottery, I'll be a bad world citizen and buy the M with 555 hp.

Tough to pick one but my two favorite.

1985 or 86 (can't remember) Jeep CJ7 Laredo. That was one fun vehicle and it was all chromed out and all the extras.

The next and equally fun was a 69 Firebird Formula with custom built racing but street legal engine. Man those were the good old days. Mind you I didn't buy the Firebird until 1979 when I decided I wanted something fast and low profile. It didn't look it but it was one of the top 10 fastest street cars in NJ back then.

My favorite would be my 04 Mazda 6s hatchback. It was a fairly rare combo with the V6 and 5 speed manual. It have every option available, including heated leather seats, Bose sound system, etc. I looked for two months trying to find the V6/manual combo, and had basically given up on finding it. I stumbled across that car while I was at the dealer to look at a different car. They had just rolled it on the lot that morning. I loved that car, and a little over 2 years later, some jerk in a jacked-up 4x4 decided to play monster truck on it while it was parked.

I can't find my pics right now, but it looked like this one, except I had different rims and lower profile tires.

Definitely my 2008 Nissan Sentra SL. It's nothing fancy, but a great car for someone relatively young. It isn't stock though, it has almost every option it can have- leather interior, intelligent key (awesome feature), and the Rockford Fosgate stereo system.

Thumb resize.

It's still stock then--options don't make it "modified". What you probably wanted to say is that it isn't a base model.

I was just about to post this same type of thing! haha.

When a car isn't stock it means you've added aftermarket parts, or accesories that the dealer doesn't offer.

I know what I'm saying, stop reading too much into things Mustang boy. I'm not claiming my car is "souped-up," but you're right, I meant to say that it isn't the base model. No reason to be a grammar-nazi though. Want me to scrutinize your posts too?

By the way, it's "modified."

How'd you mod it? I'm interested. Not really a car I would expect to be modded...

I didn't say I modified it. I was correcting his grammar. When you put something in quotation marks that doesn't have to do with quantity, the punctuation goes inside the quotation marks, rather than outside quotation marks as he did.

I know that, thanks for the grammar lesson... I didn't see the bold period. I thought you put the word modified in quotation marks because you were referring to something that you did to your car that was slightly modified, but not necessarily modified in the common sense.

I've only owned one car, a 1.5L Hyundai Accent.

The best car I've driven though would be my Dad's Roadster. Some amazing tech in those cars.
