Virtualbox and external hard drive
I've been toying around with Virtualbox instead of using VMWare. My only need for this to use Quicken since the Mac version is very poor.
The only problem I have it the VM guest recognizing my external hard drive which is formatted with NTFS. When existing Quicken, I have it make a backup of the data file to the external hard drive. I've tried adding the USB filters and selecting the drive; however, it's still greyed out on the virtualbox bottom bar when your are booted into Windows. Any ideas? I have been through several threads on the virtualbox forum and it appears to be a fairly common issue. I appreciate your input. |
