An interesting discovery, although I doubt many people will rush out and buy an $800 video card just to play Doom 3 on their G4.

They weren't very specific as to how the modification was made; leads were taped over to get the AGP speed down but I'm assuming it was flashed as well (?) using an X800 Mac ROM image. Rob-Art won't say, since "[he doesn't] promote doing that on this site."

Indeed. WHo would pay 800$ for games in a g4?
Those who may need it are just people who get involved with graphics intensive proffessional applications, and want something more than an 9800 card.
