iPad 3 Event in March, An 'Unusual' Apple Event in February?

Ugh

Such horsepoo. Apple is not holding an unusual event or whatever you want to refer to it as. It will just be the one event for the iPad 3 in March. :apple:

Apple announce they are splitting up the company followed by an impromptu gig by Jony And The Ives on the roof of the Moscone Centre.
 
Tim Cook is going to host Madam Eleantronskya to conduct a seance to communicate with Steve Jobs' spirit to figure out the next big thing for Apple to sell. Can't get much more stranger than that 😀

BTW the Madam uses special crystal iBalls to see spirits.

How about Apple to announce their long-awaited TV offering, which will offer hosted Mac OS, Cloud-based Gaming (à la OnLive), Spotify-esque Music Library Streaming via iTunes Match and navigation via Voice (Siri) as well as via network-connected iOS device.

The device will not be ready for 12months but Tim Cook wants to give us a heads-up on pricing/specification so that we can spend the rest of 2012 saving...

If that happens. I'll eat my iPhone.
 
Cook throws a BBQ and at the very end he reveals that he was using a Powerbook G5 instead of a grill the entire time.
 
MR has been publishing a lot of "rumors" with no real content lately. I don't really think one person saying Apple will hold a "strange event" in February is really news

Personally, I doubt that there is anything good coming for Mac users. We will see an iTV this year and we will see even more iOSification of the Mac. After this year's WWDC we will know if the Mac and Mac OS X still have some future left or if the Mac will turn into an over-sized iPad that has a compatibility layer for legacy OS X software -- or if the Mac will still be a real computer in the years to come. Or if you will be needing a developer account to still buy one; after all, in this brave new post PC era world, developers are the only ones left that still need a PC, aren't they?

And sometimes I wonder what it really matters what Apple does or not. At the end of the day, they just sell gadgets that run web browsers and toy apps for consumers. Real IT is done at other companies.

Could you specify what are you considering as "real IT" ? And did you spend any time at all to check the real under-the-hood improvements of Lion, that make it the most advanced OS, even when comparing it with server-side OSes, before call it "iOSification" ? And why should they announce their plans when they do know that everyone else warms up his copy machine ? You know who I mean...the "real IT" companies.

Mate, if it doesn't matter, why spend so much time posting this kind of rant on MR? You're entitled to your opinion of course, but after a point I can't see how it adds anything useful to the community, which 'at the end of the day' is for people with an interest in Apple products. A lot of people would just call it trolling.
 
Considering Apple keeps emailing me about Valentines Day (Feb 14) iPad 2.0 promos, there CERTAINLY WILL NOT be any mention in Feb about an iPad 3.0 from Apple. 🙂 Everyone would return there iPad 2.0 and wait a few weeks for the 3.0.

My guess is Apple will wait till late March to announce iPad 3.0 and then ship late April. I would be a REALLY mad customer if I bought an iPad in Feb thanks to all the Apple iPad 2.0 advertising and then hear about an exciting new 3.0 just a few weeks away.
 
Early February? That would mean between yesterday and no later than next Friday, depending how they want to split the month. Otherwise it would be mid-February.
Can't wait to see what the cat drags in.

That can't be avoided.mthere will always be someone buying a product the day before the new version launches.
MR helps you avoid that unpleasant experience.

often that something like that may happen... but does that mean a Mac PRO will now be called a Mac.

That's going to be Hell for searching, Mac Pro is annoying enough.
conversations will be too. I already call my Mac Pro a tower, so the people know what i am talking about.

They had the same ads for iPad 1 for Valentines Day and they still annouced iPad 2 right afterwards.

On April 1, I plan to go to the local gun range with my camera, tell them I have had a religious conversion and wish to no longer shoot targets. "Can I just take pictures of the targets in their natural environment?"

Re: the story, I think Apple and Foxconn will anounce opening new work camps here in America. Due to their lack of minimum wage or safety laws, it will be hard to find skilled workers for the plants. Workers will be chosen by random selection.

... Aside from the Interface, and UIKit, iOS IS Mac OS X.
