Macbook Not Charging

If it shows "Check Battery" that indicates your battery may be dying or defective. Where did you buy the battery? What year is your MacBook? Try resetting the SMC. If that doesn't help, you may have a problem with your logic board.

That's what I suspected. I wouldn't trust or recommend any non-Apple battery, due to the number of problems reported with "knockoff" batteries. Also, there is no assurance that knockoff batteries have the same charging technology that Apple uses, involving the battery, the MagSafe adapter and the Mac's logic board.

I have ran into an issue where it wouldn't charge any battery I put in there. Luckily in my situation, it was not the logic board. It was the fact that somehow the wire that runs from the battery charging port of the computer to the logic board had somehow wiggled loose. I had taken the keyboard off to have a look inside trying to diagnose the problem. Securing it back into place resolved that issue. Might consider it if you're comfortable removing your Macbook's keyboard. The keyboard can be delicate and cracks easily upon removal if it's the original one. Just a thought.
