Mac OSX 10.5 To Snow Leopard

How would someone upgrade to Sow Leopard from 10.5? Without a disk? I've tried downloads from Cnet/Apple, but they require the person to have 10.6 to upgrade. They want a legal copy, and want to pay for it. It's just that their driver is broken.
