MY trooper iPod Classic has been with me for about 3 years, maybe a bit longer. The battery is not what it used to be since it's aged. I was thinking of going through with a battery replacement. I know that Apple can replace it for me for a price. Can you guys recommend any alternatives that will hopefully not void any warranty or terms of use?

Thanks in advance.

After 3 years, the warranty from Apple has expired unless you bought some kind of third party warranty which then you will have to read their warranty terms to see replacing the battery falls under user replaceable.
