You need to get on a plane, fly to a 3rd world, go to a poor village (and I mean poor by a 3rd world country's standards), and then you can post about what is fair and what isn't. 😡
Listen I didn't even like the man ( some of his decisions in life have been poor by anyones standards, plus his attitude is a bit arm questionable) however just because someone else has it worse off, doesn't make it any less "fair" and "unfortunate".
I suppose if your family member died, you would think it was "fair", because other people have had it worse off?

No weirder than any other birthday celebration of a well-known person
Get a clue. We mourn a man on the date of his passing. But living or dead, we celebrate his life on his birthday. I don't see any reason for this to be any more "creepy," weird or strange for Steve Jobs than for Dead Presidents, Dead Composers, Scientists or Literary figures.
Saying that you find this somehow incomprehensible or unsettling means that you're either hypocritical or stone blind to the fact that you've been doing the same all your life with national holidays on dead people's birthdays, and seminal birthday celebrations like 200 year birthdays for figures like Twain or Mozart, etc.
So we should all wear sackcloth and ashes whenever Abe Lincoln's birthday rolls around rather than having a national holiday? And those folk in London celebrating Dicken's 200th Birthday should be weeping in the streets rather than putting on plays and lectures and museum showings of his works? 🙄
