Help please- IOS5 cannot delete bookmarks from home screen

Hi all, I cannot delete bookmarks from the home screen. IOS 5 Iphone 4S.

They show in itunes but I cannot delete them there. When I press on them and they wiggle there is no X to delete them.

Any ideas? thanks
