Built in Camera app or Camera+
I've been using Camera+ for some time as my primary camera. With the recent update to 5.1 and the release of iPhoto, I'm wondering if it makes sense to start using the built in camera app.
Any thoughts?

Reasons for using Camera.app and iPhoto:
Personally, I use Camera.app for shooting video and Camera+ app for shooting photos. And I prefer to use iPhoto on iPad for post processing and sharing needs. |

Just to note, Camera+ 3.0 is coming soon (currently in App Store review).

I love Camera+ for the two-finger shooting. I don't know what they call it, but press and hold 1 finger, then press a second finger. Square gives you your focus point and circle gives you exposure point.
I'd love to see this in high-end cameras. |

In addition to Camera+, I recently got ProCamera which I am liking. Haven't used it too much yet, but I just wanted to mention it. It's very similar to Camera+

Well, the 3.0 update for Camera+ came in a day earlier, so grab that in the App Store. Gotta say that app feels more fluid and faster...

ProCamera video recording has many options including:
Camera+ has one advantage with built-in photo editing, but I use a separate app for that, usually PhotoForge 2 and occasionally Photoshop Express, so I strongly prefer ProCamera. Neither of these does HDR, but the built-in camera’s HDR is not very good either. An HDR app is the way to go for that, just make sure it does multiple exposures. The ones I know of are ProHDR, HDR Fusion, True HDR, iCamera HDR, HDR Photo Camera, and Top Camera, but I can’t give a definitive recommendation among them. ProHDR is more vibrant, HDR Fusion is often more realistic, Top Camera is a general purpose photo/video app but its HDR is mediocre with a poor interface and no ability to process saved photos, and I’ve never tried the rest. |
