New Design?
I appreciate the new thread.
I think the idea that Apple jumps in response to the market (ie as soon as Ivy Bridge is available) is just wrong. Apple views itself as a market creator and releases new products on their own timeline -- When the components they need to make the upgrades they want are available in sufficient quantity and price.
My guess is that the iMac 2012 will come out in time for the back to school market (June, July?). I think the current design is dated and I expect a new design that is all flat screen like a 27" iPad. I'm not saying it's a touch screen but damn, would that be hot!
I'm ready to upgrade.
I certainly hope USB 3.0 is included and probably won't buy without it. I'm disappointed that my new MBA didn't have the USB 3.0 -- I should have paid more attention.
