please help with itunes --- home sharing not working/?!?!?!

All of a sudden, I am not seeing my library on remote for iPhone or iPad. I have tried turning off home sharing and back on.

One thing that may be interesting is that when I turn it on (on my computer) I see the "shared" tab appear on the left, but then when I click "done," it is no longer there .... ?

Where did you turn home sharing off/on? I've had this happen and had to turn it off on all the devices (including the computer) and than back on.

You could also try "Devices > Forgetting all Remotes" in iTunes and reconfiguring the remote app on your iOS devices.

The behavior you noted is normal. See:

Note: After enabling Home Sharing, the Home icon representing your computer is no longer visible in iTunes.
