Ipod classic + ipad2 dock?

Im going to get a new ipod classic 160gb tomorow and i was wondering can i charge it on my ipad2 dock safely. I know i can charge it sith the included power cord but i charge my ipad on the dock with my mbp on my desk and would rather have it sitting on a dock thrn just sitting on my desk.

ufff unbelievable, you find the free iPod touch 64 GB is availed with the purchase of mobile phone contracts available in the market. You can store up to 64 GB stuff in iPod Touch 64 GB that........that's it!
