I own an eMac, and i am interested in a dual monitor setup (there is a community wide garage sale this weekend... i figure i might be able to get a cheep CRT). I was wondering if anyone has tried the firmware hack on an eMac/iBook.

It works on the newer eMac. Before you buy a monitor, make sure the hack will work. Here's the list:

Do note it voids the warranty. But to take it off if you have a problem zap the PRAM.

thanks for the replys by the way... i might have to look for a cheep monitor this weekend. i read about the pram too to get rid of it. seems like the "hack" can't really cause that many problems.
