Question about page outs and ram?

Not sure what you guys are talking about 😀 However I did hear that more ram will help with streaming and downloading porn 😛 Perhaps i should get more RAM, perhaps i should delete my downloads more often 😉

You could also edit out your name surname in the activity window itself.

That is what I have now. As we can see, I have plenty of free space. The apps I have open are normally open all the time. Now that I am done uploading the video to YouTube, the connection seems to be better. I know this is probably an amateur thread, I am not too computer savvy when it comes to essential computing parts of a computer, even though I have taken a couple IT classes in the past 😱 I haven't even had this mac yet for a year, and I've always used Windows platforms. Bare with me as I'm still trying to learn how this MBP operates.

I think I can get by with 4GB of ram. Although as many have mentioned, more ram doesn't hurt and is the cheapest upgrade one can do for their computer.

You had an older screenshot (now replaced with a new screenshot), and your Safari "Download" window showed, that you download some .torrent files. You use a torrent client, which means that your IP address is part of a BitTorrent network. If you do not change this IP address, other torrent clients try to contact your torrent client. This can slow down your Internet connection.

Do you mean the old or his new screenshot (he changed the screenshot)? His old screenshot showed .torrent files.

Doesn't matter because as said in previous posts I didnt have any torrents downloading. Also I do not have a bit torrent client anymore, as I said in a previous post. The only thing that was running was what you see in the current ss. I was uploading videos to YouTube which probably slowed my connection because it was an HD 2 GB video file.

Thanks for all the replies. I somewhat understand how ram works now and it doesn't hurt to always have more ram.
