Ditto on the similar thread, but I'll add that charging quicker depends partly on how you're charging it now. If you're charging from your computer's USB port, then, yes, you can certainly charge it quicker.
However, if you're using a 1A wall outlet to USB charger, then probably not. The nice thing about an iPad charger is that you KNOW it will put out at least 1A for your iPhone, because they're rated to put out 2A for the iPad. Your phone will limit the charging current, though, so you won't get 2A.
