Is there a way to make iTunes Match *automatically* download the songs to my iDevice?

Right now it puts them there, but doesn't download them. (I still have to press tap the cloud or play the song.) Can I have it download automatically instead?

Create a playlist with the songs you want on there, scroll to the bottom of that playlist and tap "Download All"

You may find some songs get "clouded" again after a while, but that's the 'intelligent storage' deciding what songs don't get played that often when the iPhone needs more space due to app upgrades or photos/videos added to the camera roll.
