I created an iCloud email on my iPhone, but I must have done something wrong.
I don't know how Apple IDs and iCloud work exactly, but it seems that my existing Apple ID has taken on my new iCloud email, as well as the existing email which was a hotmail account.
I just wanted to create a separate email address, one that stood on it's own, and wanted to create a new Apple ID with it. I don't even think when I created it that I was asked to provide a password. Now I can sign in to iCloud and My Apple ID with both of my email addresses, (old hotmail, new iCloud), with the same password, for the same ID.
When I sign into my current and only Apple ID account with the new iCloud email, it says my primary email is my old hotmail address with no mention of my iCloud address.
I am so confused.
Can anyone please help me or help explain how these work exactly?
Thank you.
