Tweetbot for Mac Launches as Public Alpha

Default to discreete graphics.

The one thing I don't like it's that it defaults to discreete graphics instead of integrated one. I wish more applications would default to integrated a la iTunes/Mail, etc. Same thing with Live Wallpaper and some others...

2 things I would love to see in this as well

1- growl support; but I guess its getting Notification support in the final so ill deal for now.
2- as much as i loathe to say it, i like having a icon in my menubar.

Those are 2 things that keep me with the official Twitter app.

What good does down-voting do other than to passive-aggressively "disagree" with someone? I'd rather have comments that are helpful and CIVIL be voted so that people can weed through the mess of back and forth ego driven banter by the select few that seem to hijack threads. Arn and I had discussed removing the negative voting system a long time ago, and I'm glad he did

Pretty sure they are breaking about as many human interface guidelines for OS X as is possible! The UI is hideous and needs completely overhauled to fit OS X!

The last one is a deal breaker for me. Hope this changes.

Yes. I just installed it less than 10 minutes ago and I am getting those errors in Console too. Tweetbot appears to be working fine though.

The appearance is the same as the iOS app which I really like. Find it easy to navigate.

I've yet to come across any issues in the alpha but I have only really used the basic functions. What have people come across so far that doesn't work well or at all?

Yeah, I'm really hoping this gets sorted for the final release. Can't see how it can possibly need the discrete card.

Its missing the chance to use a custom short URL service and a custom image hosting service. Its a shame as for me this the best feature of Tweetbot. If I tweet a photo I want it to be hosted on my own site so I'm driving traffic to my site and not to a 3rd party - and I have short URL services for my two main Twitter accounts.

I realise these are advanced options and probably no one else on the forum will use them, but there isn't another Mac twitter app that lets you specify custom URL and custom image hosting api's on a PER ACCOUNT basis. Its annoying that I have to switch to an iOS device to tweet things easily this way.

Hopefully its getting added.

I've noticed that resizing the window is choppy and processor intensive.
