A 2x4GB kit is really cheap so I went with the 12GB option. I could have bought 1x8GB but they are twice the price :P

Just got my 27" iMac recently as a refurb from the Oz mac store. Was supposed to have 4GB ram, came with 8! Also was supposed to have 1TB drive, came with 2TB! This thing with ML GM flies. I'm well chuffed!

Seems the only good reason for people to get an iMac with current specs is if they get a discount as a refurb and not looking for the highest specs possible. Sadly apple doesn't have refurbs in my country, and I want highest specs possible.
