Being in Mpls where there is 4G but no LTE, what up and download speeds should I expect? Seems like I'm getting 3G speeds. 3.48MB down, .98 up.
Thanks.

AT&T iPad 4G in Mpls getting 5.58Mbps down and .58Mbps up. I'm actually debating swapping it for the Verizon.

I get anywhere between 4-8 down, 1-3 up. I'm in the western burbs. Was just in a AT&T store yesterday and the mgr claims lte will go live by July. They are working on it now.

Just discovered this thread doing some research online and thought I would throw my 2 cents in.

I recently moved to Minneapolis and have been really discouraged by ATT's service up here. Between where I live and where I work, I get awful service. You go a few blocks in any one direction and it gets much better, but still doesn't do me any good.

Recently bought the LTE iPad for Verizon and have been blown away by how fast and what good service I get. It really has me thinking about switching.

I plan on getting the new iPhone this year but I'm torn on what to do. With ATT, my business partner and I's contracts are staggered. I just give him my old iPhone and I buy the new one, either with my upgrade or his upgrade.

If I switch to Verizon we'll both have to buy new phones at the time and I won't be able to get the new iPhone each year like I've always done.

It's good to know that ATT is turning on LTE by July but I have no idea if that will increase coverage where I live. A weak signal is a weak signal, whether it's 2G, 3G, 4G, or LTE.

Decisions, decisions.

I'm picking up LTE in my office building at 394 and 169. Only one bar, but even that is relatively fast down, at least:

I thought about waiting for LTE from ATT here in Minny but I just couldn't take it anymore, plus I assumed LTE would be weak from where I work and at home.

Recently sold my 64GB 4S on ATT and picked up a used 4S for Verizon and have been much happier. 3G speeds are pretty slow but I plan on getting the new iPhone next month regardless.

I wanted to stay with ATT but I just lost all hope. Congrats to those who get great signal with them in the city.

Glad to see they are unveiling it. Seems to be a slow release, but it looks like it's coming! 394 & 169 is not far off from me.

Has anyone tried the LTE on the new iPad 3 in the Minneapolis area? Results? Looking forward to the iPhone 5... Sure hope LTE is rolled out here by then...

I hope when they say Minneapolis-St. Paul they mean the entire metro area. That would be really weeny if they just did downtown and a few surrounding suburbs.

44Mbps down and 15 up in Minneapolis. I'd love to ditch Comcast if AT&T wasn't so expensive!

Everyone in the metro should be live now. And any potential buyers should know that Minneapolis-St.Paul LTE is live and FAST.
