I'm using this hub for my Macbook Air 13" 2011.

Unfortunately the driver came on a CD and I have no CD player available.

Does anyone have the driver for it? Thanks in advance.

A USB hub shouldn't require any driver... but OK just about all vendors have whatever driver you need on their website... but OK they don't. Go to a friend, a library blah-blah copy the CD to a thumbdrive and... u take it from there.

It's not just a hub - which is probably why it needs the driver.

Is there a manufacturer name on the box that came with it? Check their website.

yeah the USB hub works fine, it's the network port that doesn't work without driver.

I can't find the manufacturer. I've ben searching online for the driver but can't find it.

I have a cheap usb ethernet, and this kind of works as the driver:

http://asix.com.tw/FrootAttach/driv...ntosh_10.4_to_10.8_Driver_v3.5.0_20120803.zip

Maybe give that a try? For whatever reason I get random kernel panics when initializing it though, so I'm not sure how well it works with 10.8.1. Stability is unchanged when it's not in use, so I don't believe it should cause issues.

Of course it's your risk, not mine, you do this of your own free will, blah blah.

Thanks a lot. I will give it a go.

Update: too bad, that didn't work.

The first driver listed?

The cd you didn't get lists "AX887772*", so googling that led to that driver. Give that a try.
Let us know how well that works, becuase I think it'd be cool to have something like that as a dock.

Good call. That should be the driver. Unfortunately it still doesn't work.

I'm trying trouble shooting. The USB hub is listed differently than indicated in the manual.
