Not in Windows. Without the special sauce that makes OS X and Retina Display tick together, it's going to look as bad as running Windows 7 at 800 x 600 on a Cinema Display.
Damn that is a shame.

If this new MBP proves to be a trendsetter, hopefully we'll see PC laptops with high resolution screens, and with it an update or fix to Windows.

Can't even select 1440x900 in the resolution options. I found 1680x1050 the sweet spot but I sure wish I could get the normal res.

A basic question but how are people getting Windows installed on machines without optical drives?

I used Boot Camp to make a USB key to install Win7. It worked perfectly!

PS: If Apple Updates drivers and such for Win 7 on Boot Camp, will we get it through the software update in Win7 or will we have to manually download stuff?

the updates should work up in windows 7 but there is hardly any update.

Umm... you do have the native res... it's right there at the top (2880x1800).

I meant.. I don't know what to call it, non-doubled res? 1440x900.
I did manage to solve this by going into Nvidia Control Panel and was able to create a custom res. of 1440x900, much better.

Retina with win 8 Brilliant

I have installed win 8 and bootcamp from usb took 25 mins including TrackPad++ and it is very cool. The only problem is thunderbolt adapter and that is broadcom problem with no updated drivers as win 8 is not out yet hopefully plug and play and sleep will work with adapter.
