No reason why not.

Choose your network and tariff at the Apple Store.

We offer tariffs from O2, Orange, T-Mobile, 3 and Vodafone. So we can check your upgrade eligibility, help you choose the right tariff and activate your iPhone — all in the store.

Which network?

I was just wondering which network people from Northern Ireland are using.

I'm currently with O2 and the data speed is just awful. I know 3 and Orange signal isn't great when out of the city centre (I'm based in Lisburn/Hillsborough), so which network are people using and having no bother with?

I have used the coverage checker on a few websites but honestly, not sure if I trust it.

Tough choice! I know there's no 3G on Three in Hillsborough but I think Lisburn is well represented. Part of the reason I'm with Three (apart from living in Belfast, where there's good service) is their 5 per day unlimited data for Europe, meaning over the border will be a maximum of 5 a day.

Your best option is to get a pay as you go sim from each of the carriers and give them a go for a week.

This is exactly what I was thinking.

Now as soon as I get home from my holiday I'll get a sim from each and see what I find. I want the fast speeds on my iPhone I've been hearing people in the Uk have been getting!
