My first Cinema Display was a 20" that I bought with my Powermac G5:

When I got my 2009 Mac Mini, a friend of mine had another 20", so for awhile I had dual monitors:

Now I'm running a 24" LED Cinema Display. It's super excellent, and I'll probably run it until I can't anymore. Here it is with my 2011 Mac Mini

I still have the 20" monitors, all tucked away in their original boxes with ADC-DVI adapters. I'm still trying to decide what to do with them. Maybe I'll sell them at some point. They probably aren't worth much, though.
great thread. I have been waiting for the new iMac but at this point leaning towards a macbook pro with thunderbolt.
iMac should coming soon.
I was checking some Apple pricing this morning. The Apple store pages were telling me that they were updating the pages for new products. So with luck, we will see a new smaller iPad, new iMac, and I hope a new Thunderbolt Display later today.
Mac Mini is what would be great, next purchase after that will be the MacPro for me.
I will be shocked if a new mini is released, I know there is a lot of hype around it, but the iPad3 was only released so little ago.
what does the mini have to do with the ipad?
Nice. What mouse mat is that?
Here's my minimalist setup, no messy wires with the Mac off the desk:
