With the announcements and upcoming announcements of so many new phones, just wondering what everyone is planning on getting in the next month or two.

Still #1 on my list is the Note II,
#2 Upcoming Nexus phone (or one of the many nexus phones?)
#3 HTC One X+

I'd be interested in the HTC One X5 / Incredible but since I'm on AT&T, that's not an option.

This is very close to my list:

1: Samsung Galaxy Note II
2: HTC Droid Incredible X (or Nexus equivalent) - assuming it is like the HTC J Butterfly
3: Non-LG Nexus phone (depending on what is announced on the Oct. 29th)
4: I will also check out any flagship Windows Phone 8 on Verizon (but it looks like AT&T is getting most of those)

1- LG Nexus depending on battery life and storage options (16GB and above and I'll get it)
2- Stick to my international Galaxy S3.

Can I ask what's wrong with LG?

Nothing specific yet. That being said, I'm considering some or all of the following:

1) Nokia Lumia 920 - really need to see it/test it in person but so far really like the hardware and enjoyed using WP 7.5 previously.

2) New Nexus phone - if I'm underwhelmed by the Nokia, I'll also consider a new Nexus phone. The problem is that I'm not pleased with some aspects of the rumored LG (no LTE, limited memory with no expansion) so this really is dependent on what I think of the Nokia and what Google announces on the 29th.

3) iPad mini (or two) - these would be for my kids and also depends on what Apple announces next week, primarily price.

If the rumors are true (which I think they are), the following two items make the LG Nexus a non-starter for me:

1: Small, non-removable battery: 2,100mAh (I think that LTE and the S4 Pro will burn through this battery too fast)
2: Minimal storage with no SD expansion slot: 8GB (Inexcusable in this day and age)

Oooh, you were not saying you wouldn't buy it because of the LG brand. You were saying because of some of the aspects of the phone. Gotcha.

No, I am brand independent. I go with the tool that best fits my needs. And based on what we know to date, the LG Nexus will not meet my needs. My ultimate phone would be a Samsung Galaxy Note II, with the Droid RAZR Maxx battery, a S4 Pro Quad processor, and a 5.5" 1080p screen (I think only the 5" is in production). I know that is asking for a lot, but what can I say, I am greedy. 😉

Edit: If there is a nexus based on the HTC J Butterfly, it'll be a very tough decision between that and the Galaxy Note II

Cool. You may get that wish list one day. Just not today Lol. I'm still worried 5.5" screen might be a little too much. 5" seems more reasonable. I'm hoping 4.7" won't be a problem. (I have big hands anyway)

Now if this phone would ever come to Verizon, I would have to change my pants...

Android 4.1.x Jelly Bean
Chipset Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon S4 Pro
1.5 GHz quad-core CPU
5-inch Full HD 1080×1920 IPS display
12 megapixel CMOS camera
2GB of RAM,
32GB or 16GB of internal storage
6.9 mm thin
2500mAh battery
NFC, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, LTE or 3G connectivity

Chances of that happening though, next to nil.
