Best Image Map Creator

For all of you savy web designers out there what is the best (and simplest) app to create image maps? This can be for either mac or PC, it just needs to be cheap or free!

Thanks!

Both Dreamweaver and Fireworks can do that rather easily. Neither is cheap or free though.

Or you could google for some hints on how to code it yourself.

Havent tried using fireworks for this, but dreamweaver works great. While I handcode everything else, an image map with odd shaped boxes is just silly to do without software help. You can probably download Dreamweaver with a thirty day trial period for this onetime use.. good luck

Then go for Flash or Fireworks, it would be the easiest option.

Image maps aren't really that difficult to handcode...

I havent made a web page in years, but I have used CoffeCup Image Mapper before and as I recall it was very easy to use. They have a 15 Day trial for Windows, if you want to give it a try http://www.coffeecup.com/image-mapper/

Zombie thread, I know, but if I Googled it, someone else might too.

The GIMP, now available in a Mac OS X native version, creates html imagemaps wonderfully.

http://docs.gimp.org/en/plug-in-imagemap.html

Right-click, Filters, Web, ImageMap. Profit.
