Every site on the internet stating iTunes would be available is referring to this article from MacWorld UK (http://www.macworld.co.uk/ipad-iphone/news/?newsid=3406663&olo=rss) but it apparently no longer exist...

I even tried to hack the URL of iTunes 10.7 to get iTunes 11. Didn't work - obviously. Well, good night folks! See ya in 2 months.

yeah, they didn't handle this well. granted, it could still be released by "late october," but it should have been ready to go today. the fact that they didn't even mention it is what's really disappointing.

reminds me a little too much of their mishandling of the itunes match launch late last year. steve jobs never would've let this happen. very sketchy.

They just came out with the iBooks 3.0 update so I imagine it will be out tomorrow 10/24/2012🙄

apparently something did wrong and they delayed it. 🙁 yesterday apple released a hint in the official blog about the new itunes but today after the event they removed it... the websites that announced the new itunes were expecting the announcement based on apple's blog. this for example puts the link at the end of the post:
