I've never understood how the white is distracting? I have a white iPad 2 and a blue/white iPod Touch. I am a film nerd, and it isn't the least bit distracting. :-/

I'm severely dissapointed with mine. After a day of using it, my iPod randomly started shutting down, requiring a restore multiple times. I'm sure its a hardware malfunction, but I would still like to have a functioning iPod the first time and not have to drive 2 hours to the nearest Apple retail store to get it fixed.

Question for iPT 4 - iPT 5 upgraders:

So how's the day to day battery life? I use mine everyday and quite frequently so I would like to know just average battery life. My current 4th gen gets a day and a half on iOS 6.

Maybe call Apple first? They probably would exchange it for you, rather than fix it...

I'm getting about the same on my ipt5. Biggest PITA is remembering to keep a lightning cable in the bag when i'm at work...

I've been enjoying mine immensely. It's my first ipod touch and my first step into the ios ecosystem. It's a huge step up from my BB Torch in terms of app quality and performance.

So far, I've been using it a lot during the day and syncing/charging each night. It's never run out of battery during the day.

I bought the black/slate model and I haven't noticed any scratches yet. It's certainly not like the old polished chrome backs of my previous 3 ipods.
