Ya just a bit glad I got my 2011 refurb with 3.4 i7 with 32 gb ram for under $1800 with 3 years apple care

Their base price seems way too expensive???

My plan was to just get the high end 27 non bto but if the 2gb gpu is that little I will probably get that upgrade

Comparing those AU$ prices to GBP, the upgrades are:

i5 to i7 = 178GBP
GTX 675 to 680 = 92GBP

These are both a bit cheaper than I thought... in which case I can see I will be getting both!

Only + $120 for 675MX to 680MX? No way, the retail difference between the Nvidia 660 (960 CUDA cores) and Nvidia 680 (1536 CUDA cores) is over $200! I don't believe Apple would abandon the Apple tax...

just looks like they have added the same prices from 2011 models as a guesstimate. Nothing legit there.

That's just how expensive things are in Australia. It does annoy the heck out of me and I wish things were cheaper.
