iPad 4g les prone to fingerprints?
Just upgraded from iPad 1g and I'm pretty impressed with the performance of the new device. Anyhow there is one thing I noticed: It seems like the 4g's screen is less prone to fingerprints. Does anyone know if that is just a figment of my imagination or real?

It's probably because your fourth gen has got a nice fresh oleophobic coating on it still.

As i recall the oleophobic coating started with the iPad 2. I don't think ipad 1 had it. Even if it did, i'm sure a fresh coating works better, as mentioned previously.
Of course, I've never found the oleophobic coating to do squat. Oil may be a little easier to wipe off, but it still gets on the screen. Drives me nuts, I hate smudges and fingerprints. |
