2012 Mac Mini

I have a minidisplay port to VGA cable that was used on my white unibody macbook, I am wondering if it will do any good with the new 2012 Mac Mini with thunderbolt output?

yes, the thunderbolt port does double duty for mini display and thunderbolt.

Reason why I would've liked to see two Thunderbolt ports in the Mini at least.
