Win8 64bit Driver issues on iMac...HELP!
I have had a problem with windows not being able to run 64 bit version. After researching it seemed that the work around was to open up the cmd and type:
D: cd "Boot Camp\Drivers\Apple" (hit enter) Boot Camp\Drivers\Apple\msiexec \i BootCamp64.msi (hit enter) After i type the 1st line i get a message in cmd saying: "The system cannot find the path specified" I don't know how to proceed from here. I have ran it a few times and it is the same. I am running mountain lion with the most recent BootCamp and have got the latest drivers burnt to a disk as many of the walkthroughs have specified to do. Windows 8 seems to be working fine but cannot use keyboard functions and magic mouse/Bluetooth with it. If anyone can help/point me in the right direction would be very much appreciated. I managed to find someone with the same problem who posted on an old thread in relation to windows 7 but there is no answer. (FelixB) Im using an early '08 iMac. |

You might want to wait - Apple hasn't released an updated set of Bootcamp drivers for Windows 8 - last I checked it was only compatible with Windows 7.
