Can't max out my connection - torrents
Hi, recently bought a mac & upgraded to mountain lion, after that everything seems to work worse. I'm on a 100mbit line but can't max it out when downloading torrents, I level out at 1-3mbit. Are there any settings affecting this? My windows machine maxes out after a few seconds.

What do the speed tests on speedtest.net say on your mac and win boxes?
What torrent client are you using (not all are created equally)? |

Unless you're on a private tracker, chances are you will never be able to max out your speeds even with an excellent connection and properly configured client.

97-103mbit/s on speed tests. On windows I reach 10mb/s so the discrepancy is quite large. Been using utorrent, switched to Transmission since it kept freezing up. I get around 4 mb/s on that client, but it fluctuates wildly dropping to zero from second to second. Edit: my upstream maxes out instantly *shrug*, the apps take forever to close (utorrent I have to kill each time) I wonder if I have messed up something.
