At the moment, I'm using Evernote as a personal note book but not so much for work related things. This is mostly because the iOS version isn't available offline, and also because I'm a bit worried about everything being in the cloud only. While a premium account would solve the former issue, I'm still a bit worried about the latter. I'm used to having a hard drive copy of most things, even though I use DropBox extensively to sync across platforms. That way, if DropBox shuts down or collapses (I know, highly unlikely, but just for illustration), my stuff will still be with me.

Has anyone here ever experienced issues with Evernote in terms of loosing material? I know one poster here who has reported this happening, and I'm wondering whether he got really unlucky or if it's somewhat common. Am I worrying about nothing?
