The nut jobs are alive and well in my neck of the woods (Texas) and all whining on Facebook. If I see one more post about outlawing guns or implanting microchips (oh noes mark of teh beasties!) I may go on a rampage. However, I have been above the politics talk on FB for the last few months.

CBS is calling Colorado and Nevada for Obama. That puts him at 271 without Ohio.

NYT is calling Virginia for Obama.

Well that was predictable. Didn't get what the fuss was about personally...of course Obama was going to win.

I approve.
I got to meet Eliza Dushku at Ohio Con this year. I didn't get to chat with her much, between taking sewing orders for cosplayers and promoting my work.

Maryland just legalized gay marriage. 3/3 so far tonight. Just waiting on Minnesota, which is a close vote.

Ya-tothef'n-y. Yay. Woohoo. Now, I wish CA posted a proposition to repeal proposition 8, and to amend the CA constitution to redefine marriage.

Hehe, Eva's pretty, but I'm more of a Claudia Black or Jennifer Hale kinda girl... their voices are made of sex.
So, so happy about Elizabeth Warren too. My grandmother got permission to leave the hospital so she could vote Warren. I love my home state.

And nice choices. Actually it was love at first sight for me and Anicka Haywood (the girl from AT&T's "summoner" commercial).

Exactly. Some of these ballot measures (Minnesota, for example) are still hanging in the balance. The more dominos that fall in favor of gay marriage, the better for us all.

I approve of Moyank's choice. It's a good match, Eliza is a proper Bostonian, she'd balance out her questionable sports choices.

Really surprised Colorado legalized the use of marijuana recreationally. Very progressive.

I'm sure they'll unskew the election results. Obviously the results favored democrats way too much.

Marriage equality passed in my home state of Maryland as well as in Maine, one of my favorite states. Sadly, I do wish it was for the entire nation, though.

Of course, I completely agree with her on what actually matters, and that's the future of civil rights in this country.

Worth noting: Bachmann and her opponent are 50/50 right now with 57% of the votes in. If she gets kicked out of the house, then tonight as an all-out ass-kicking by Democrats. She was a presidential candidate!

*High five* Also, it looks like Obama is pulling ahead in the popular vote, as well. I'll be glad to see that hold up.
