Is there a way to "tag" (openmeta or otherwise?) itunes songs?

I know that I can go in my itunes library, select songs and add info/grouping/etc. I'm hoping for something that's quick/lightweight that will let me add openmeta tags (or something similar) to various songs/albums in itunes library ... ???
