iPad mini iPad mini - your fastest Wifi speed

Does it not do 802.11n?

The iPhone 5 and iPad 4 both do 90+Mbps with my Asus RT-N66U router, compared to 30-35Mbps for the Iphone 4S and 35-40Mbps for the iPad 3.

As far as I know, the Mini has the same Broadcom 802.11n solution as the iPhone 5, so it sounds like you may be limited by your Internet connection (if that is what you are testing) or your router.

Connects to the router at 150mbs, 5GHz dual stream N.

Do you have a wireless desktop or laptop to compare?

You will need a 5GHz router to achieve maximum performance with the iPad 4 and iPhone 5? I haven't seen more than 65Mbps on a 2.4Ghz network.

I only get about 12mbps, half of what my laptop gets. I have 25mbps service. My iPad 3 is the same - don't know why.

I get slightly over 80 down and 30 up on my 100/100 mbps connection.

More like 30, but still worth it!

BT Infinity connection with AirPort Extreme.

I'm getting 70 down with my Asus RT-N66U.

I'm getting about 30/7 with the 4th gen Time Capsule, which isn't bad since I'm capped at 31 Mpbs. Seems good so far.

Where/How are you guys getting these test results? What website or app do you use? What is a good speed versus a bad one?

Speedtest. Believe it or not . . .

Speedtest.net is the one I use, even though it is an iPhone only app.

you have BTinfinity? which one? the speed you are showing is pretty good.

most infinity installs are either 40M or 80M unless you have FTTH which is upto 330M, but that's available in only a handful of locations.

Last night I got .5 down and .25 up and that's with a 10mb connection. This is not just on an iPad mini but all our devices. Contention ratios, crap coverage, poor infrastructure and a broke country sadly are not faults of the mini

Does the wifi in Mini perform better than the other iPads or just on pair with iPad 4?

yup, you need 5G to get more than 40M. I have 5G wifi and I get 60M.
