Thumbs up Fireplace HD+ For iPad, iPhone & iPod Touch

Fireplace HD+ has recently been released. I developed & designed the app myself, the key elements that I wanted to bring out of the app were a realistic crackling fireplace feel along with a sleek user interface that allows the user to change the fireplace theme (traditional or modern). In addition to this, what makes this app unique is that the user can select one of the built-in seasonal audio tracks - these play along with the crackle of the fire & bring a relaxing enhancement to the user experience (there are also a selection of radio streams that play along with the fire - currently only available on the iPad).

A great app for light entertainment & general relaxation. Available on the App Store: Click Here

Now that you have created a fake fireplace, are you going to create fake marshmallows to roast over it ?

You should add a feature that has an arm replacing the wood at one point, just like on the Yule log burning video during Christmas.

Purchased this app...

As far as virtual fireplaces go, this is a great app. I really do like the audio options... Well done!

My Pleasure! One feature that I would like to see in the future is the option to play your iPod music in the background when the app is running.

I 100% agree & this is a top priority for the next version update that I plan to release very early in the new year.

Sounds good.

How do I go about mirroring the app to my Apple TV?

Hi Ralph,

This can be done by double clicking the 'home' button on your device and selecting Apple TV on the airplay icon - then be sure to select the mirroring option..

Then simply start the app as normal & you'll see the fireplace on your TV screen.

Following on from this, I have made this more straight forward with a quick & easy guide:-

To get the best airplay experience from Fireplace HD+, i'd recommend using the airplay mirroring feature. To do this you will need to:

- double click the 'home' button on your device
- scroll left on the bottom menu until you see the airplay icon
- tap this icon & set airplay to Apple TV & be sure to turn mirroring on.

Enjoy!
