With the new rumor of pre-production... what do you think they're producing?

Hopefully a phone that arrives undamaged from the box

No, that would require a leader with a set of balls willing to risk everything on demanding his vision of perfection, and he my friend, is gone.

I say faster processor.

Really none of these things matter to me. If it were a better camera I can see myself being suckered into buying it, but otherwise I am happy.

Hopefully they'll fix the problems with the 5 (scuffing, I heard people complained about it bending or something, etc), maybe add NFC for s**ts and giggles, expand LTE range, maybe add native AM/FM radio (that'd be nice so if I don't have any reception [natural disaster? i had no reception during Sandy and if we didn't have a radio at home we would've been screwed] I can listen to the radio) and other stuff like that.

Faster processor
Tweaked & improved camera
Changes to construction (different anodizing process, stronger construction)
Changes to display to address many issues with current display
iOS7 (which could be a lot different according to recent news)
Improvements in SIRI, maybe more SIRI integration

All I can really think of. Basically the 5S (like all the S models) will be an improved 5 with the kinks worked out. Love being on the S cycle.

7 people picked 128gb storage option, but only 4 picked lowest model having 32gb of storage!

Do you think that they will release a $499 128gb as well!? I for one think that is very unlikely :/

I would have thought 32 becoming base will be key this year (massive MP camera, 1080p video, super large apps) with 128gb being the third option only being a possibility.

I can see a 128gb iPad this year, not sure about iPhone.

I hope they add WIDTH!

No need in more meory unless Apple gives us a FILE/Folder option where we can store our own docs and files. But that ain't going to happen!

I think the 5S will just be a maintenance release.

  • They'll fix most of the software issues with iOS 7 and throw in a couple bones that most people won't use.
  • Re-manufacture the case with harder anodized aluminum with will solve two issues: Finish will last like a Mag light and it won't bend in half when you sit down with it in your pocket.

Those are the main reasons I passed on the 5, but will be enough for me to get a 5S.

Agreed. Besides the usual faster processor, the 5S will basically be stronger, more durable and will have a lasting finish.

I'll be enjoying my 4S until the 5S :)

I sincerely hope that NFC is not included, and if it is, that it is not touted as a major feature.

As of right now, it is 99% useless outside the 48 contiguous United States (and infact, useless in many of them anyway) for 'paypass', and the only other remarkable feature of NFC is Bump, a feature which I can install on my phone without NFC.
