Today's shell shocker deal though is a 2X8GB 1.5V CL10 G.Skill set that is $49.99 down from $69.99. Plus I have a 10% coupon code. Plus using Ebates gives a 1.5% cash back. With free shipping that comes to $44.32 for 16GB. I think that's too good a deal to pass up. Any tips?

I'd go for it. That one has several positive reviews from Mac owners.

I RMAed the RAM. No restocking fee. I had to chat with customer service to get a free shipping label. Newegg is great as usual.

Rember runs without issues with the original RAM. So I'm back in the market. Any more suggestions for CL 9 or 10 1.35V PC3 12800 1600MHz RAM FOR 16GB?

I also got 16G Mushkin set, and the computer had reproducible issues similar to yours. I thought I'd give it another chance and RMA with exchange, but after reading your post will, probably, call newegg to switch from exchange to return.

I read somewhere that Apple says to use 1.5V Ram but they ship Mid-2012 cMBP's with 1.35V so either will be fine im assuming.

My MPB shipped direct from Apple with 1.5V CL 11 Micron RAM. Either 1.35 or 1.5V should work though.

How do you, guys, manage to catch these deals? Today it's back to 69.99 again :(

FYI all the G.Skill RAM is working very well. No crashes. Passed Techtool Pro 90 minutes, Rember, and expanded Apple Hardware Test Twice.

Good to hear that you're having the same experience with g.skill as I have! :)

Excellent. I actually just updated my unibody late 2008 MB to 8GB. I would have done that in the beginning but the max has changed over the years. Paid 29.99 for a G. Skill set.

The other good news is that I found out I could sell my 4GB that came with my old Macbook for $25 on Ebay (same exact set from Samsung/Apple recently sold for $25).
