First off, I apologize if this is the wrong forum for this message.

Here's the deal, I am working on a business application that requires an iPod or iPhone to sit along side a cash register. One of the concerns that we have had is security of the device when being used by employees. Essentially we don't want the iPods/iPhones to go missing when the owners back is turned.

We have found a few general lock applications, but most of them are overly expensive or difficult to obtain. We are also hoping to offer this service for free or as close to free as possible and thus we need these locks to be significantly more affordable. Another item we were thinking about is the ability to charge the iPod/iPhone in tandem with the lock system.

Has anyone had some experience with this and might recommend a good option?

You could always just put it in a glass enclosure, and mount it on the table, like they do at some of the yogurt places near me, they put a heavy case on it and leave enough holes open so it doesn't restrict anything. It's also mounted to the table so theft isn't an issue.
