Apple today updated its online store with its new Holiday Gift Guide for 2012, a collection of products and accessories from Apple and other companies that could make for good holiday gifts.

Unsurprisingly, Apple is heavily promoting the iPad mini in the guide, with "iPad Gifts" being the default section for the guide and the iPad mini prominently displayed at the top of that page. Apple touts a number of other products from its main lineup, including the iPhone 5, iPod touch, iPod nano, full-size iPad, Apple TV, and MacBook Air.

Apple will also almost certainly be participating in Black Friday on November 23, offering a selection of modest deals on Apple and third-party products. Last year, Apple offered $101 off of MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and iMac models, as well as $41-$61 off of iPad models, $21-$41 off of iPod touch models, and $11 off of the iPod nano.

I wonder if black friday, the 23rd, is the day iMac21.5" is released. Here's hoping :)

(Yes I know this impatience is borderline pathetic, but we are Apple fanatics, aren't we?)

'Tis the Season!

Apple products are the best gifts!

Everyone should buy at least an Apple gift card for everyone on their gift list. Even better is to give everyone an iPad for their very own. Hey - who wouldn't want to receive a shiny new unlocked iPhone 5 in their stocking to replace their aging 4S?

Buying gifts from Apple is a sure way to prove your love!

As an Apple shareholder, I approve this message.

Ha! We sure got some front page news here. Is it just me or is MacRumors just reporting on anything lately.

If its a slow news day in sure we can cope. Don't need to feed us any old rubbish.

Edit: I know I'm a few others beat me to it, but still!

I didnt even have to read the author to figure out who'd posted such a pointless news article.

Why is Eric always given the task of posting pure nonsense?

May as well add a few more shock news posts into his schedule:

- Apple expected to sell more products in December than in January
- Apple expected to say 'Merry Christmas' to shoppers during December

EDIT: the news post was obviously done to get a bit of cash in for MR. Whilst the link may look like its going to take you to 'store.apple.com' it's actually taking you to this:

That's funny I was going to say what is Apple paying Mac Rumors for this crap. But I thought nah they wouldn't do that. Guess I was wrong. Lame.

Never shopped apple before for Black Friday ....

Are the deals both in stores and online or just online? Do they tell us what the deals are that day?

Who thinks the mini will be any cheaper???

I was hoping to get an iMac soon, but seeing they still aren't available for pre-order I guess the new iMacs will miss out on Black Friday sales.

Unless I want a specific config I can't upgrade myself , Amazon beats Apples sale prices every day of the year on most all of Apples products.

I have. Dont waste your time. Get on Amazon for their lightning sales over Christmas/New year - some great deals to be had. Picked up a £100 pair of headphones for £20 last year!
