Foreign Language Menu

I recently purchased my Apple TV via Amazon and when I plugged it into my TV and connected it. The menu are all in a foreign language, I'm guessing German or Austrian? How do I reset or change the setting so that I can read the menu in English? Thanks in advance.

I've even tried resetting the Apple TV and it still gives me that different language prompt! I read that once you activate your Apple TV it asks what language you want to use. How come every time I try to reset it it doesn't ask me that question. This thing is pissing me off and am thinking of just returning it and getting a refund.

i can help you out if its german, go to ...

Einstellungen > Allgemein > scroll down to "Sprache" > change to whatever

and even if it isnt german ...

go to the "app" with the preferences icon on the right > click the first thing > scroll down to the 10th (the one with the country flags picture) and change it to english
