Yes, Camera+ is only for photos. Right now I think the app ProCamera has a bit of an edge over Camera+.

ProCamera offers all of the shooting features of Camera+ and locking exposure, focus is slightly easier on ProCamera. ProCamera can also shoot video. In many ways the latest Camera+ update played catchup with ProCamera.

Camera+ might get interesting again once they get feature parity with the iPad version.
