Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows what the processes MessagesViewServ and MolbileSlideShow do and how I can "restart" them. I've been having battery issues on my iPhone 5 and according to the Carat app by AMP Lab restarting these two processes should improve my battery by 2 hours each.

While I don't take these expected battery improvements at face value I'm hoping that it would at least marginally help. Google search for these turned up no results. Thank you very much. :apple:

MobileSlideShow is the Camera and Photos app. Killing it or restarting it won't help as it is a very well programmed application that uses no resources when it is closed.

Sounds like you had a hand in writing it :). How about messagesviewserv?

And what about IMremoteURLconnect

I'm seeing MessagesViewServ, too, and assume it has to do with SMS/iMessage, but killing the Messages app didn't make it go away...
