New software about Computing and Egyptology : Hiero !

Hello,

Hiero is from now available on MacApp Store (Education category) !

This free software is a WYSIWIG help to the transliteration of the Egyptian hieroglyphs.

It allows from hieroglyphs to obtain information on the transliteration, the phonetic reading as well as the grammatical structure.

The current version (1.1) fix some bugs.

Hiero is a part of OUNAS project.

You will find on the site of OUNAS project, more informations (blog, tutorial, screenshot, ...).

If you have a few minutes and i you wish to give a small help to a passionate developer, download and try Hiero.

You have the possibility to show tutorial(s) on the site of project.

Currently there is a tutorial on-line (the other one is in preparation).

It will allow you to be made an idea of HIERO.

My project (OUNAS) is now composed of two sub-projects.

1) HIERO (help to transliterate egyptians hieroglyphs) : free and funny software - do not hesitate to
download on MacApp Store !

The current version is 1.1

A new intermediate version (1.2) is in preparation.

2) THOT (Old kingdom Corpus) : you'll find articles (forms) about this Corpus on HieroBlog.

Others computing tools will be available (mainly for search tools).
