Has anyone seen this campaign?

Ormr is another entry in the image-editing segment that will run on both Mac and Windows with the one (affordable) license. Their unique pitch is that they're aiming to make every action / object editable independently of every other - as if everything happened on separate layers (which it doesn't, at least, not officially).

If they can pull it off it should be exciting. But at the moment they really do need some more backers. Preferably a *lot* more backers.

Check it out over at Kickstarter: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/928340467/ormr-the-smart-image-editor?ref=popular

Full disclosure: I've already pledged (can never have too many image-editing options :))

9 day mark

At the 9 day mark Ormr's at over 1/3 of their target, having around USD17,500. A great improvement on a few days ago! Hopefully this momentum will continue and we'll get this new editor option sooner rather than later

Good news and bad news

The bad news is that with slightly over 2 days left in the campaign Ormr is at just over the 40% funding mark. So unless there is a minor miracle in the next 2 days there is no way they are going to make their funding goal.

Now for the good news. Sad Cat Software are going to make and ship Ormr anyway! It won't be on quite the same schedule as it might have otherwise been, but they're still going to go for the full feature set in the long run.

More details in their updates and comments over at Kickstarter. You can also sign up to a mailing list through a link at the same. So for those of you interested get on over and show your support!

(Yes, I've signed up to the mailing list. Hoping for big things...)
